Established in 2008, the Department of Performing Arts is a combination of music, dance and theatre. The department offers the following COSD courses: Diploma in Folk Dance, Diploma in Vocal Music, a three year course in Kathak Dance (Prathama, Madhyama & Uttama) and a three year course in Theatre Studies (Certificate, Diploma & Advanced Diploma). Since 2010 the department has its own Board of Studies for reviewing and reframing of curriculum. The suggestions from the staff, students and subject & industry experts are reviewed and updated regularly. The faculty members have actively contributed to the process of framing, revision and up gradation of curricula with the focus on making the syllabi more skill oriented. The department aims to inculcate the best education in the students giving them best possible practical and theoretical knowledge.
