Objective: 

To discuss and introduce the students to the types of performance space for

dramatic performance.
To make the students learn and understand the work of Indian Play writes.
To familiarise the famous plays like KhamoshAdalatJari Hai, Tuglaq and

PaglaGhoda etc.
To discuss the role of various government organisations and resources provided

by them for theatre.

Unit I: 
Types of Performance Space – Procenium, Arena, Thrust and other experimental spaces.
Unit II: 
Major Play Write in Marathi – Vijay Tendulkar (Khamosh Adalat Jari Hai)
Unit III: 
Major Play Write in Kanada – Girish Karnad (Tughlaq)
Unit IV: 
Major Play Write in Bangali – Badal Sarkar (Pagla Ghoda)
Unit V: 
Review of Indian Theatre Organisations – Cultural Ministry, Sangeet Natya Academy and National School of Drama,.
