Mask Making Workshop

The IISU Theatrical Society conducted a mask making workshop in Aditya hall on 29th January, 2019 under the guidance of Mr. Lohit Vyas, a theatre practitioner and faculty . The workshop started with the history of masks in theatre in different cultures and parts of the world. The importance of masks in the world of theatre was also explained. Trainer also showed the different types of masks made throughout India to depict different epics of our country. Students were taught the process of making masks with the use of plaster of paris. Students were then asked to make their own Masks and decorate them according to their will. The workshop was then concluded with children expressing and explaining their masks.
